The Renaissance of Snowmass
Already one of North America's premier ski resorts, Snowmass is undergoing a transformation not only with multiple on-mountain improvements but with a complete build out of a new Base Village. The commitment of the Aspen Skiing Company is to recapture the name of the best family resort in Colorado. Within the new Base Village is the long awaited opening of the new Tree House Kids Adventure Center. As a focal point, this state-of- the- art facility will provide a family-friendly climbing gym, teen activities, kids retail and a host of themed rooms for all ages. On mountain improvements of the new Village Express six pack chair, the Elk Camp Gondola, the new Elk Camp Meadows Learning area and the new and improved Snow Park Technologoes Terrain Park and Half Pipe area.
The New Base Village
After a full year of construction, the completion of the Hayden and Capital Peak Lodges will bring a fun vitality at the base of the Mountain. Ground floor commercial space will soon house a up scale restaurant/apre-ski lounge, a new restaurant, new ski shops and much more! Ready for the 2009 ski season will be the new Sam's Knob Restaurant. In addition. 2009 will see a new chairlift for Sheer Bliss!
